We are a five year old wedding videography team based in Livingston, West Lothian, but we cover all over Scotland, from Hawick up to Thurso! If you're looking for a wedding DVD with a fresh feel to it at an affordable price, you need look no further. We also offer wedding photography in line with our video package and can give you your wedding photos (posed and candid) as a presentation DVD and you simply print off the ones you want in the size you want at your local photo shop. We can also design a glossy photobook of the best photos of your day.

The Full Wedding of Ruth & Alastair

Having your wedding filmed can be a big responsibility. You want to make sure you hire someone who you can trust, is discrete and can do a good job from start to finish. That's why we've added this section, so you can get a clearer idea of what the finished DVD - not just the highlights - looks like. We filmed the wedding of Ruth & Alastair at the George Hotel in Edinburgh in December 2013 and they have kindly allowed us to show you each of the chapters of their big day.

The Introduction

Ruth & Alastair asked me to go along to film them getting ready. This part is often the hardest to do because you don't want to miss any of the good parts but you also don't want to be filming people at inappropriate times when they might feel uncomfortable. Balance is key.

The Photos

The weather was sunny and mild for a Christmas wedding which meant we got lots of great shots outside and on the roof as well as with the Christmas decorations.

The First Dance

What we like to do is to overlay footage of the first dance with black and white 'flashbacks' of the cutting of the cake. If you have a live band playing we tend to use the audio from them, but if your first dance is to a DJ then we'll use your chosen song.

Marryoke

This was our first attempt at doing a Marryoke, which went pretty well I think. Note singing deer :)

The Ceremony

The George Hotel is a fabulous venue, the only trouble is the main hall can be a little dark for our cameras. At some points we had to add gain to brighten things up and this can make the film seem a little snowy. During the signing of the register we've started adding black and white 'flashbacks' of the highlights of the ceremony.

The Speeches

We usually put a lapel mic on the best man and table mics down in front of anyone else who is speaking (usually the father of the bride and the groom), but these can be quite sensitive to smartphone interference, so please be sure to have them switched to airplane mode.

The Highlights

All the best parts of the day edited to your favourite song and uploaded to be shared online in full HD! In some cases the copyright holders of the song do not allow the viewing of the video on mobile devices, which is a shame, as in this case with Elbow's 'A Day Like This' so in that case we change the music to something else of a similar length and style.

The Carousel

The Christmas fair was going full blast in nearby St Andrews Square, so we all went along to see if we could get some nice shots exclusive to this time of year. The photographer and I weren't disappointed, and I think the bride and groom enjoyed themselves too!
